William J. BRIGGS, a tinsmith, in Baltimore, MD, m. Mary C. JEFFREY. Not much is known about the family except for the children listed in census records:

Family members recall none of the sisters being married. There is a story that one sister was quite upset when her younger sister's obituary appeared in the newspaper, as the deceased sister's age was listed, and it was common knowledge in the community which sister was born first, so people then had an idea of the living sister's actual age.

I am starting to add miscellaneous BRIGGS data as I happen to run across it in my research. The items below are things that do not currently relate to my own line, but I wanted to keep track of in case we found a connection later. I have done my best to get everything correct, but it is every researcher's responsibility to go back to the original record to verify it for accuracy. Good luck!
