Hugh RIDDLE, son of John RIDDELL and Margaret MOORE, was born in 1779 in Ballyblack, County Down, Ulster, Ireland. He came to the United States approximately 1798. He m. Rebecca LEE, daughter of Jacob LEE and Margaret GOODLIN, in Center County, PA. Hugh and Rebecca had 3 known children:
  1. John M. RIDDLE b. 1815, m. Charlotte LAST-NAME-UNKNOWN;
  2. James RIDDLE, b. 1821, m. Margaret FULTON;
  3. Mary RIDDLE, d. 1871.
John M. RIDDLE and Charlotte LAST-NAME-UNKNOWN had 4 known children:
  1. Fillmore RIDDLE b. 1852, m. Orlena MITCHELL
  2. Thizra RIDDLE b. 1855
  3. James G. RIDDLE b. 1858, m. Margaret LAST-NAME-UNKNOWN
